For over 15 years, Carhartt has relied on U.S. manufacturers to provide much of the hardware for their workwear. The company has produced more than 80 million garments in America during this time, with their Tennessee and Kentucky operations producing a range of their work pants and jackets. Mark Valade is the current owner of Carhartt, a family-oriented clothing company based in Michigan that was initiated by his great-grandfather, Hamilton Carhartt, in 1889. He co-owns the business with his mother, Gretchen Carhartt Valade.
